Finding Nemo

I saw it last week. And I thought it was good.

I never seen a Pixar Studio's movie before. I was kinda amazed by the quality of the animations. And I liked it for a cartoon. I expected it to be really childish but it turned out to be more mature then I expected.

Makes me wanna see Ice Age and their other movies too.

Ice Age isn't on par on the quality of CG like Nemo is. Funny movie though

I saw Finding Nemo this Monday in the movie theater, it just came out over here, I went with a bunch of friends who were not too embarassed to go but in the end we found out that there was no one below maybe 15 years in the movie theater! (Well, maybe because the kids were still in school and we were skipping college )

I really liked the movie, although I usually prefer thoughtful movies that don't have such an obvious story, it felt good to just sit back and enjoy 1 1/2 hours of nice fun and very cute characters! The animations looked awesome but I think it always takes more than good computer knowledge to create all these different types of characters, those people truly have imagination and a feeling for making jokes that are both for children and adults I'll go and see the next Pixar movie for sure!

Haha! Finding Nemo is my animated movie right now. Esp I like the part when Dory says "escapé", and she says "Hey, I wonder what this means. It just sounds like escape."

I do agree, that Ice age had a better render than finding nemo when it came to CG images. Maybe Pixar is losing it's luster?

In fact 3D animation is getting spread out over a wide scale. I use Lightwave 3D 6.5.

I loved Finding Nemo, it was such a cute movie... Did you notice that all the characters were somehow messed up?

Nemo had a gimpy fin, there was a schizophrenic fish in the tank, a fish obsessed with bubbles, a fish who suffered uncontrollable bloating, the starfish and the pelican were both obsessed with dentistry, the black angelfish had a gimpy fin too and was hell-bent on escape, Nemo's father was paranoid, Dory had short-term memory loss... etc. etc.

My favourite were the bloody seagulls. "MINE! MINE! MINE! MINE! MINE! ... MINE?"

just as feathery as ever

I don't believe that Ice Age has better render than Finding Nemo. First, its underwater. Everything is somewhat fuzzy underwater. Underwater, they had to recreate fine grained particles to float in the water. If it were sharper, it wouldn't work that well. The animators somewhat recreated background shots too close to reality, they needed to tone it down a bit to give it a more Pixar-ish look.

One problem I had with Ice Age was the jagged-ness of some of the characters, which didn't look right.

Did anyone catch Pixar's showing of their ever first CG film. It was a short piece about the Snowman in a snowglobe. Hilarious stuff

I hated Nemo. It wasn't even mildly humerous to me.

Ice Age on the other hand....

Darn it! No Mod powers to actually edit people's posts. I was going to add:

You can view many of their short films here.

The short movie with the snow man was hilarious and hte graphics were awesome considering it was made in '86!

Hey I found Nemo!
