Winamp 5 and the Nullsoft team ROCK !!!!!!!!!!!

Just installed Winamp 5 and have been playing around with it. I am really glad that Nullsoft have gone this route. I am one of the users that reverted back to Winamp 2 'cos of all the issues with 3: Lack of configurability, resource hog etc etc. Winamp 5 has the best of both worlds and more. Shout outs to Nullsoft for once again delivering the most kick ass media player on the planet. The docked Vis window is one of my fave new features, simply smashing baby !!!!

I am sure the Nullsoft team have taken loads of flack from the community since the whole debacle began and a lot of people tend to criticise before prasing a job well done. So if you agree with me and feel that they need to be told how much we appreciate all their effort then post a reply on this thread to show it. Winamp still remains the most used, most supported by plugins and skins media player ever and it will take something freakin spectacular to entice me to use something else !!!

Peace from Darkest Africa !

It's debatable whether Winamp 5 with a modern skin or Wasabi.player Build #499g uses more resouces, but it really doesn't matter now does it?

They both rock.

w00t! Seriously, I've yet to find a single thing I don't like about this. it's stable, uses less resources than any other media player I know of, has great vis plugins, etc... I even converted my winamp 2.XX friend... the one who said that he'd never use another version of winamp again. This is perfect!! I've been waiting for an update, or something, and WHAM! THis wonderful new build! I love it! It's shear awesomeness! Go Nullsoft! Heh, winamp 5 is the reason I joined the forums... hehe! I love it, man! Go you guys!!!

Simply awesome ! Lots of options too. A few plugins i expected aren't there though, and upgrading from winamp3 to winamp5 destroyed my AVS library. But I kept a backup

it's about time, isn't it?

the thing I like the best as of now...the media library. I either never knew how to use it or it never worked right, but now...the hell with explorer, I can find any song, artist or album I have in seconds without searching through hundreds of folders.

using other video players? (besides DVD) fuhgedaboutit. winamp handles most vid formats.

winamp 5 ownz joo

Except for v3, Winamp is the most amazing mp3 player ever made for the PC. Nothing else comes close!
