DFX 6.4 works fine with version 5! And sounds great too, I might add!! Get the one for version 2. I haven't tried the one for 3, so couldn't tell you about that one.

DFX for Winamp 5

It seems DFX for Winamp will still work, you just may have to re-install DFX. The only thing you may notice, or at least I did is DFX will not "snap" to Winamp as it did before, but you still get the beautiful sound.

By the way, I would love to have this functionality built into Winamp in the future, the ability to enhance the sound beyond the EQ. DFX really brings out the clarity and bass.

Just my input.

I always minimize dfx anyway, so forgot to tell him about that. Thanks for clarifying. I agree with you about adding it to a future version of Winamp, although I purchased DFX over a year ago and I still get free updates so doesn't really matter much to me.
The program (DFX) is great as you say and just makes the sound so much better.
And just to add something here. All version 2 plugins work with version 5. I just copied them over from my 2.91 plugins folder and voila....everything works. Just in case you didn't know!

DFX is OK but Enhancer 0.17 is free, better, customizable and lighter.

I've used enhancer before and I always thought it made the output worse than when I was using no DSP plugins. *shrug*
