Long artist-selection selection in med.lib - can artists be merged?

I hope my title is self-explanatory...

In winamp, I have lots of artists that only have 1 or 2 tracks. When I search through the different artists in the Media Library, the list is 'polluted' by a lot of artists that have only a few numbers.
It'd be handy to have a feature that would put all artists that have < 3 numbers in a container ("varia" orso), so I can find my 'favourite artists' with lots of songs easily.

Another feature i'd love to see is something that enables you to update the ID3 tags of the songs...

I have, for instance, 6 different artists for Weird Al Yankovic:

Weird Al
Weird Al Yankovic
Weird Al Yankovic
WEIRD AL YANKOVIC
Weird Al Yankovich
"Weird Al" Yankovic

It would really come in handy if I could update the id3 tag of a lot of songs at once.
