That 'filter' is a keyframe. And no, you can't get the picture much better on client side.

Hi everyone:

NetSpider - That NBC broadcast is (in all likelihood) ILLEGAL as its a rebroadcast of a TERRESTRIAL TV STATION. If this guys doesn't start doing something more original with his station, I wouldn't expect it to be around much longer.

At least WayFierce TV, which once streamed the local Fox affiliate late at night, has music videos.

Point being this. Enjoy it while you can 'cause it won't last long at its current rate.

The LAST thing we need is epople giving Internet TV a bad name just like some have given Internet Radio the same thing over the years.

Cheers for now & Happy Holidays

Jeeper, 90% of the streams are in the face of the law "illegal". The point is, who cares? Those who watch it could simply watch their NBC (not that rare :-D), and those who can't now have a way to. It's more of a convience than anything else. I'm surprised you didn't mention those who stream DVDs and other movies, those are the ones that really should watch out. Anyways, there's no point to this post, so nevermind it.

Hi everyone:

So are you saying Ken that we should all take a care free attitude like we did when Internet Radio took off and stream terrestrial TV stations and other COPYRIGHTED material?

Obviously there are some who need to be reminded about what stations like WOLF-FM have had to do JUST TO STAY AFLOAT and keep up with their royalty payments. I can't see a WOLF-TV coming online anytime soon.

When I put on videos, *I* make sure they aren't direct rips from cable or terrestrial TV. Heck, there are some videos I *could* put on for Christmas, but because they're rips straight from cable, I refuse to put 'em on.

In short, you may love My TV, but until the laws are changed, we MUST strive for COMPLIANCE with the law if Internet TV is to survive as a medium.

I don't like it anymore than you do. But the law is the law. It's as simple as that.

Cheers for now & Happy Holidays everyone

What I meant was that I don't think the gov't will come down on My TV with fire and brimstone if there are big-time hollywood movies and premium channels like HBO being streamed.

And secondly, those who do won't stop. If they're caught, sure they'll be raped, but Internet TV won't suffer as a medium. I don't see the entire Internet TV going to hell if My TV gets attacked. In fact, it might be good publicity.

No matter what we say, they'll always be people who abuse something, and we hafta live with it. That's all I'm saying.

Hi everyone:

You're right Ken. Stations like My TV won't be attacked by fire and brimstone. Just the movie & television industries, sports leagues (if applicable), and basically corporate media in general.

And you're right, ALL of Internet TV won't suffer, but we've got to do some stuff that's ORIGINAL (such as airing indie music videos). I mean, how hard could it be to get a few friends together with a camcorder and a desire to take a spin or two around town? Heck, I plan to go out next year with a camcorder myself with the desire of doing something original.

Shouldn't be all THAT hard. But I guess for some people, its "impossible". Oh well....

Like I said before, we may as well enjoy stations like My TV while we can 'cause they certainly won't be around for very long IMO.

Cheers for now & Happy Holidays
