DSP window no longer displayed

I'm using the old 1.80 DSP wwith Winamp2 and the DSP window is no longer displayed.

I'd installeed Streamripper which seemed to make itself the "Defualt plug-in". But when I switched to the DSP I no longer saw the encoding window. I've uninstalled Streamripper and re-started Winamp. But still no luck.

I'd also installed a demo version of the sam encoders but have removed those by copying the dll elsewhere. And still the DSP 1.80 window won't appear when I select it.

I can configure it though.

Does anyone know how I get the DSP 1.80 encoding window back please?

Many thanks for any help you can give.

Try removing the dsp's ini file.

*note: Open and not the settings first.

Thanks. I tried that but still had no success. (I wasn't quite sure I understood the footnote so perhaps I didn't do it right).

I've also removed all the dsp dlls and inis and then reinstalled dsp 1.80. And restarted the PC. But the window still won't show.

Is there anything else I should try perhaps?
Many thanks for your help

Found it. I clicked once on the SHOUTcast icon that was in my tray and the window reappeared. I still don't understand why it had disappeared but this fixes my problem for now.

Thanks for your help

That's the DNAS, not the DSP.

It was on the winamp PC not the DNAS server (though both icons look the same) so I took it that was the DSP. But I'm happy whatever it's called 'cos it works now.

Thanks for your help.
