ID3 Tags not updating?

I had some screwed up Id3 tags in one of my directories, so I redid them all, and reloaded all the songs, yet WA5 is still showing the previous ID3 tags.

Does it have a cache or something it pulls from? And if so, how do I reset it so it will show the current tags?

Yes, I edited both v2 and v3 tags

I have a similar problem, I had this problem in Winamp2 aswell. The only way I know of is to re-do them in winamp, and save it as a playlist. If you take them out of the playlist, then add them back in later, you will loose the tags. :/

I've had weird mp3 tags that even when i edited them they would stay the same anyway, i handled them by disabling the tag that was causing the problem and using the other one.

Just remove them from the library and then add them again.
This is the only way to do it if you don't update the tags/metadata via the Winamp library interface.

Thanks guys. Well that really sucks. I dont understand why WA doesnt just read the tags when it loads the file. How long could it take?

Also, how do I remove them from the library? Or disable the library alltogether since I dont ever use it anyway?

Uncheck: 'use library data for Winamp title-formatting' in:
Winamp -> Prefs (Ctrl+P) -> Media Library -> Library Options

Also, Prefs -> Titles
checkmark: Read metadata when files are loaded....

To remove items from library -> local media, select them (Ctrl+A for all, Shift+left-click for 'a to b', or Ctrl+left-click for multiple random files), and hit 'delete'.

etc etc etc
