Is there a way to make Winamp read your WMA tags to make it's tags?
All the names and albums, and everything are screwed up because of Winamps way of acquiring information about the tracks. Is there any sort of way to make it just use or copy the data that is in their WMA tag directories?

Due to restrictions from Microsoft on the WMA format Winamp cannot read WMA tag information. It is highly recommended that you encode your music in the more open MP3 format or Ogg Vorbis and avoid WMA at all costs.

I used to encode my music in WMA.
But after a run of spectrum analyses with CoolEdit Pro, I no longer use WMA any more. With 80Kb/s bitrate, all signal higher than 10KHz has been brutely trimmed! So, treble in WMA sucks. Ogg should be a better choice, if you wanna shrink the file size. For higher bitrates, it is said that MPC (MusePack?) is the best, among lossy codecs. |
