VOB format for WINAMP5

WINAMP5 does not support VOB format for video files.
Is there any patch (or plug-in or whatever is called)
that can be installed in order WINAMP5 to play VOB
format video files ?

Thanks
Yorgos.

no not formally.

VOB is a format used for DVD's(possibly encripted)
its also known as MPEG 2

it costs a LOT of money for a MPEG2 licence and that doesn't include the licence for the decriptor.

so unless everyone is willing to pay for winamp pro as of the moment, i can't see it coming in the near future.(not saying it won't happen some day)

if you already have a dvd and ac3 directshow decoder (from third party DVD decoder software or similar) you should be able to play some vob files (ones that arn't encripted or multiangled)

ctrl+p (preferences) --> input --> nullsoft directshow decoder --> configure --> add ";VOB" to the list of file extensions.
