Is it possible that you make a link in your email or website that opens windows media player and starts broadcasting your station?

For Windows Media Player, use an asx file.

Create an asx file pointing to your DNAS and place it on a webserver with the approproite mime types.

Example (simple) asx:
code:
<asx version="3.0">
<title>title</title>
<entry>
<title>title</title>
<author>author</author>
<ref href="http://dnas-ip:dnas-portBase/"/>
</entry>
</asx>

Please note the trialing slash after the portBase.
