Stream Closes as soon as I connect
I followed everything in the tutorial here [http://forums.winamp.com/showthread.php?postid=1040011]. I encoded my Avi into NSV and I have the header txt file in the same directory of course. I put in the command and on my server (on my local machine) It says:
[source] connected from 127.0.0.1 <01/11/04@11:54:50> [source] icy-name:Pinky TV ; icy-genre:Musicals <01/11/04@11:54:50> [source] icy-pub:1 ; icy-br:24 ; icy-url:http://www.shoutcast.com <01/11/04@11:54:50> [source] icy-irc:#shoutcast ; icy-icq:0 ; icy-aim:N/A <01/11/04@11:54:51> [dest: 205.188.234.73] starting stream (UID: 21)[L: 1]{A: SHOUTcast Directory Tester}(P: 0) <01/11/04@11:54:51> [dest: 205.188.234.73] connection closed (0 seconds) (UID: 21)[L: 0]{Bytes: 8192}(P: 0) <01/11/04@11:54:52> [yp_add] yp.shoutcast.com added me successfully I wondered what I'm doing wrong? Thanks guys! |

"yp added me" means your station information (station name, bitrate, maximum number listeners, current number listeners, currently playing song, ...) has been added to the SHOUTcast yp (yellow pages) directory.
"yp touched" means your station information (station name, bitrate, maximum number listeners, current number listeners, currently playing song, ...) has been updated in the SHOUTcast yp directory. ------ Link using this format: http://yourIP:yourPORT/;file.nsv Replace "yourIP" with your IP (which you can find here) and "yourPORT" your portbase defined by your DNAS (server) config file. The default is 8000. If you have a dynamic IP, you can get a static name at www.no-ip.com. -- Michael |

I try to connect but it says "cannot connect to remote server" how exactly do I get my video to play using shoutcast... the <nsvscsrc localhost:8001:headers.txt C:\NSVFun
Where the DNAS is on the local machine with the default PortBase and the files are in C:\NSVFun.> format doesn't seem to do anything except connect me to my server momentarily. |

Hi everyone:
Or better yet, just simply wait a few minutes for your station to pop up in the Internert TV genre of the Winamp browser and then connect to your station from there. Once you do that, you should then be able to save it as a .pls or .m3u file in your Winamp Favorites directory just as you would a radio station. It's a simple process really. ![]() Hope this helps ![]() Cheers for now ![]() Patrick Pat Cook WSO-AM Soap Opera Radio (Currently On The SHOUTcast YP But Website Coming Soon) Englewood, CO |
