[searched] Fast fowarded stream with StereoMix

Alright guys, I searched on the forums for this, found entries for "fast forwarding" and "distortion" with no luck finding a good answer to my question.

I have a very high-end machine (3.0ghz P4, gig of ram, audigy2 soundcard, 512kbps SDSL connection etc). When I use shoutcast after doing an extended number of things with my computer, especially after playing a game, I find out that my stream data sends disturbingly slow and listeners claim my stream sounds fast-forwared. I'm trying to setup a Ventrilo conversation while using a spectator mode of a multiplayer game and broadcasting a low bitrate shoutcast stream simultaniously. I cant be having problems with CPU usage, that seems just too impossible.

Yes I know how to use StereoMixer and how to theoretically set everything up, I just cant get around this "fast foward."

Thanks for helping in advance

Might be a problem with the Audigy drivers.

see this thread.

Read it all, and it seems to be sort of the same problem I'm having. However I cannot use Shoutcast 1.9.0 because my provider doesnt support it, and cant use ODDsock because I need to use my microphone with What U Hear.

Maybe I'm a little bit confused, but maybe not. What exactly should I do?

The problem may be with the Audigy drivers.
Give the KX drivers a try.

Re-read the thread myself and I see the part about the microhone.

Are you able to swap soundcards?

I only have one soundcard (the Audigy 2)

Also I notice when recording an mp3 with What U Hear mode, the recording sounds the same (faster and distorted) like it does when I previously explained my problem with shoutcast

[edit]
Also, my CPU usage is fairly low so that cant explain much

Hey, I had the same problem. It seems that Ventrilo and Winamp dont work to well togethor. The problem was fixed when I opened Winamp first and then Ventrilo. After that, I've had no more problems with the dreaded "chipmunk voices".
