updating the now playing section
Hi there,
Could someone please let me know how I update the now playing section of my NSV stream, its blank at the moment, looked a bit on the forum cant realy see anything that explains this. Much appreciated. Dean. |

Wow sorry ken you have lost me there, Im streaming from my computer in xp, so I put in http://myipaddresshere.thentheporthere. dont know what the admin.cgi is or what password is or what mode it is, in a web browser?, could you explain it step by step.

Sure. Copy that link to your address bar in IE (or whatever). Now change everything in capitals to what it is in situation.
For example: say i'm on the pc with the shoutcast server. that means the IP would be 127.0.0.1. The port is 8000 (which is what it'll be if you haven't changed it). In the shoutcast config, say I changed the admin password to 123abc. i want the now playing to say: "teh coolest". I plug it all in and get this link: http://127.0.0.1:8000/admin.cgi?pass=123abc&mode=updinfo&song=teh%20coolest I made everything I had to change red. (in case it confused u, %20 is how you add a space) |

Thanks ken I understand that now, one prob Im getting is when I put that in the browser I get a window pop up with username then password I know the admin password but dont know that to put in the username bit,

, for people with the same problem reading this you will get a page cannot be displayed but it still updates it.
