Custom APE's not working

I had to download Whacko AVS 1-4 again because winamp 5 deleted it for some reason when I installed it. But that's not the problem. I'm not an AVS developer but I like to read the comments and when I clicked on the 3D metaballs ape out of intrest it froze and the error message came up saying Winamp had to close.

I found that it was the same with all the APE's that didn't come with AVS icluding Color Map and the ariginal texer. Now its not a problem for me as the presets still work fine but I guess its a bit of pickle for AVS developers. Any answers?

Btw I'm sorry if this has been answered before
