URL Link to Simplify Accessing Shoutcast NSV
I know this has been an issue before. I have read all the ICY200 posts and I don't understand if its possible to have a link on a web page so that Winamp will open a video stream other than having to put the htt://myserver:8000/;file.nsv into Winamp. I read a post called "open nsv file" and didn't understand how to do it or if its possible. Any explaination would be greatly appreciated.

Add that url into winamp, then go to Manage Playlists > Save Playlist. Change the type to PLS and enter a name. Now you can upload that file to a server and people who open it will get the stream.
The problem is people who don't have winamp as their default player will just get an error in whatever their player is. |

The way to solve this problem is to use the activeX controlls (and the XPI plug ins for netscape/mozzilla/firebird), then the video will just play in the web page.

Thank You Gentlemen
Thank you very much, the playlist file saved from winamp is a workaround. I haven't checked into the plugin solution. Just from the look of it that way will take a little bit of effort. If you would care to elaborate, I would gladly listen.
