can't find the content...
Hi,
i'm trying to setup play-on-demand content for my website, but I keep getting a "404:Resource not found" error. The NSV files are correctly encoded (vp61/aac) and the appropriate plugin loads, but it just can't play the file! I've placed the nsv file (bradford1.nsv) in the content subdirectory of the shoutcast directory. I haven't edited the ContentDir in the shoutcast conf file, so that content directory is the default, correct? So the location I try to load using the activeX plugin is http://www.garethwestern.com:8000/bradford1.nsv Does that look correct? Is there any way I can echo the content directory that shoutcast is using, just to make sure it's correct? Cheers! |

Shoucast does not do on demand nsv streaming. If you want to stream NSV files on demand then just put them on a webserver and create a pls file that points to the NSV file. This will load the URL into winamp. If you put a url into a winamp playlist winamp will stream the content whatever kind of server it is on. THis will also work with the activex plugin. Just put the file on a webserver and point the activex controll at it. see here where i have done it http://www.clickon.me.uk/handsomedog/embedded_video.htm
