The use of an apostrophe is to signify a missing letter. I e didn't. The apostrophe is between the n and the t because it is an abbreviation of did not, and the o is missing, so in the place of the o is the apostrophe. didn't
Also use "'" and not "`". ` makes words look oversized and silly.
