stream lock
Hi,
I have setting up a stream server with 2 shoutcast servers. My frends need to pay me for total data traffic.. But i can't set a limit for the sending data packages.. The first server (port5000) need to set it to 24kbps the second (port6000) on 56kbps i must lock them, that he can't change the stream quality from the DSP Plugin.. |

The DNAS accepts whatever source is fed to it.
Write some script/tool to periodically check the DNASs bitrate. |

Grab the DNASs 7.html and examine the 6th entry.
That's the bitrate. If above the threshold, whack the DNAS. |

that doesn't completely work. icy-br is a user inputted entry and can be manipulated not to reflect what the true bitrate is. If you want complete control then you are going to need to script something that finds and decodes the mpeg headers and determines the streams overall bitrate.
