Crossfading question...

I am running winamp 5 and love the built in crossfader, but I was wondering if there is a plugin that will REALLY crossfade two tracks. My this, I mean adjust temp, pitch, etc (like a real DJ can with turntables can) by evaluating the current track and next upcoming track. Thanks in advance!!

I'm not sure of any good plug-ins off the top of my head, but do check out the Nullsoft Signal Processing Studio plug-in, built in under Options -> Preferences -> Plug-Ins -> DSP/Effect. Hit the Configure active plug-in button, and try it out. It's pretty advanced, but has some easy to use presets built in.

Why did they removed the great Crossfader that was in Winamp 3, that could crossfade the song that is playing and the next one, and you could adjust how lond will that last, (10, 20 seconds...)...
Is that here in version 5, because i can't find it???
Or is there some plugin that do this, ,mixes and crossfades the two songs......??

Prefs > Plugins > Output > DirectSound > Fading tab

Winamp 5 is the continuation of the 2.9x line,
It was the same in 2.9x, so nothing was taken out.
Winamp3 is now being developed separately as Wasabi.Player

...and as for asking about 3rd-party plugins, after I just posted a heap of links pointing to them...
