How about an easier way to just get modern skins. Now you have to select a catagory first then change it every time. itskindalame

try the waybac machine. you'll have to wait until it's finished being serviced, though.

Daylight Savings in the forums?

Well I live in New Zealand and I set the GMT time to 12+ for me (which is correct), but the times on the Winamp.com forums seem to be and hour ahead of the time it actually is. This could be due to daylight savings, but it would be good it Winamp.com incorporated Daylight Savings because when I look at the time posts got posted it says it was posted in the future and I get confused .

the bottom bar says that the site is "labelled with ICRA".

not according to them

on the plus side, i now know what ICRA is. procrastination and boredom are terrible things.

Is there a problem with the skin preview images and download links on the newest skins? I am not able to see the 13 new skins or download them. I noticed a few others have commented in the review section for some of the skins.

The rest of the skins are fine and I can see the previews from "Troy" modern skin and later.

Windows XP using IE6 with updates and Sun Java.

Thanks ~

i have a problem with skin submission. i have updated my skin by edit button. but a problem occurred and the skin was rejected. i fixed the problem and submitted it with same name but system said that "there's a component with same name, please choose another". so, the told one is mine, but it doesn't appear neither in published, nor in unpublished part. unfortunately i have made another mistake and caused another rejection. and now, the system doesn't accepts any of the names so i had to choose another name. please, can you erase the names of those rejected skins from databanks so that we can submit the fixed ones with same names?

Skin names can live on in the database for up to 4 weeks after deletion, quirk of the system has been since time began.

Add a 'v1' suffix to it if need be.

using the word "winamp" as search or part of a search makes you end up in "dead-space", and I don't know why this should happen, but it does. And MrJones here already knows about this, :P should be fixed for all those dummies like me and MrJones (he admitted he did it too :P)

another problem, my updated skin is rejected with this explanation "Please submit screenshots that are more descriptive of your skin/plugin." second time. and the both thumbnail and main image that i sent are more detailed than the original ones when i submitted the original skin. now the skin is updated a little, the thumbnail and main images are updated as well in similar style. but it is being rejected. in my thumbnail picture the main window and since there more space then i needed i included the thinger window. and in my main image those can be seen: main window, eq window, thinger window and playlist editor window as an example of standard windows. so what can i make it more descriptive?
by the way, names that i can give are diminishing quickly.

I don't think anyone's noticed this one yet... It's nothing major, but it's there nonetheless.

At the top of the page, just under the Home, Player, Skins, Plug-ins, etc links, there are two other links. Winamp Forums and Promote Winamp. When you hover your cursor over the Winamp Forums link, it pushes the Promote Winamp link over to the side a little bit. Shouldn't do that.

When you hover over the "Promote Winamp" link, the font size gets bigger...It doesn't stay the same size as the "Winamp Forums" link, and it changes changes color...

And on the color thing: When you hover over the link, the color is the same as the surrounding bar around it...It almost blends in, and most importantly, it's tacky...

Umm. I think you got it backwards. The Promote Winamp link doesn't change in any way (except for the underline) when you hover over it. It's the Winamp Forums link that changes.

odd... It's what I said for me; Winamp forums keeps the same white color even when you hover over it, but the Promote Winamp link changes colors when you hover...I don't notice any font size changes on another computer, where font size on IE is set to "Small"...

For me, the "promote winamp" link is getting bigger, and changing colors to this dark reddish/purplish shade. See attachment:

Edit:
Uh... ok. The attachment was shitty quality, so I tried to update it and after checking the "Upload new attachment", and re-browsing for the image, and submitting, the image still wont update.

See the next post.

The only thing that happins to me when I hover over them is the links become underlined. No color change, no text size changes. Using Mozilla Firefox 0.9.

Oh, and a similar thing happens to the links at the bottom: they change into a maroon color on hover, which almost blends in with whatever color is there (you'd assume the opposite would happen), while growing a font size or two, which joggles the other links around it to the outside. Is that supposed to happen?

Well, it doesn't mean anything, but...

I just downloaded and installed FF a little while ago to try it out... The links work properly in this, but the edit fields for Quick Reply and the normal Post A Reply are both about half as big as they are in IE. Is that supposed to be like that or something?

Looks like vBulletin is configured to customise the field width for individual browsers.

Example:

If you look at the HTML source of the "Quick Reply" text field, in Mozilla Firefox you'll get:
code:
<textarea name="message" rows="7" cols="35"
wrap="virtual" tabindex="1"></textarea>

Whereas in Internet Explorer you'll get:
code:
<textarea name="message" rows="7" cols="60"
wrap="virtual" tabindex="1"></textarea>

Dunno why it should work this way, but that's the way it's programmed into vBulletin.

Stuppiiddd problem, most of it my own lazy ass fault. But as I use a different computer every time I go on these forums, so I have to log on, could you make so that when i press TAB to move from the username to the password field, I don't move to the register link instead.
Well,...I thought not.

I sometimes end up having to re-install winamp (my pc is a piece of crap) and when /i try to search for skins I know I like thru the search box i ALWAYS get "Sorry, your search returned no results." every time, no MATTER what I search for. I could search for "winamp" or "skins" or "plugin" and STILL nothing!! Wassup people?!?
