Send a message via ICQ to Oldskoolradio
You must be behind a proxy server, or have a firewall on your machine. If you have a firewall, open ports 8000 and 8001.

If you are behind a proxy server, you can try changing Yport=80 to Yport=666 in your sv_serv.ini then restart your server.
There is also this handy tool at radiotoolbox!

You will not be listed on shoutcast untill you see
[yp_tch] yp.shoutcast.com touched!
appear on your server

It still comes up with the error, do i have to allow the ports in norton firewall aswell? if i do how so? or is it jus that the settings above are incorrect?

Disable your XP Firewall.

--

Doublecheck that you've properly forwarded the correct port(s). In your case, 8000. Also, your LAN IP is not 127.0.0.1 .. That is a standard loopback IP. Use your LAN IP.

DJ, or, they could use the more step by step approach.

The less known but more sophisticated way to disable XP firewall:
http://forums.winamp.com/showthread....hreadid=170505

Burning, are you on a LAN ? If so you need to seetup port forwarding on your router...

Please visit soutcast technical support >> Shoutcast FAQ , and visit the page for your router. (should be towards the bottom)

yeah, i'm back.
