Error resolving yp.shoutcast.com
Ok, this one's bugging me.
I have a new server running FreeBSD and the latest version of BIND dns and all is working well and is accessible from the internet. I installed the DNAS server on it, it's up and running and is carrying listeners fine except for one problem. error resolving yp.shoutcast.com I have tried a traceroute to the yp and although the trace doesn't reach the other end (probably firewalled) it does reolve it to an IP. I don't know what other kind of test I can perform to see if my DNS is resolving correctly from the server but for the life of me I can't get this dang thing to talk to the yp. I relay this server off of my main one and it does not show up in the yp as a relay in the cluster. Anyone got any ideas of what I can do or what might need looking at? FYI - I can go shell into the server itself and open up yp.shoutcast.com via the Lynx browser and it resolves and loads properly. It's almost like a file or port that SC needs to resolve properly isn't present as I cannot resolve yp and cannot resolve other hosts like my relay, but putting in an IP address works fine.
