Library entries MESSED UP

Okay, I have a reasonably large library of 5200 songs +, and after a time, I'll ad some songs, and be merry. But what really peeves me about the Library, is that occasionally some of the entries names are corrupted (ie, the replace the artist ID3 tag entry into EVERY ENTRY ON THE LIBRARY)

So say for example, I have this song
Artist: DJ Tiesto
Title: Sparkles (Transa Mix)
Album: Summerbreeze
Track #: 10
Genere: Trance

It appears in my library as...

Artist: Summerbreeze
Title: DJ Tiesto
Album: Summerbreze
Track #: Sparkles
Genere: <blank>

I want to shoot myself because of this, because to fix it i have to re<explitive deleted>install winamp and reload the library (which takes time). I can't just delete the biznatched entries and refesh the library, that doesn't work either.

Any suggestions on how to fix this, or people who share a similar problem are welcome to rant with me. Also, i'll probably post this in the bug section... maybe.

Can't reproduce this, so don't bother doubleposting in Bugs forum.

If the tags are in tact in the actual mp3 files, then Winamp's media library reads them on import, all the time, every time.

This is assuming that

1) the correct options are selected in:
Prefs > Media Library > Media Importing
(if the id3 tags are already present, then all that needs checkmarking is: Read file metadata tags on import)

2) You're not using some dodgy 3rd-party mp3 decoder such as in_mp3pro or in_mad.
