crackling from speakers

hi guys im getting crackling from my speakers i had it once before on winamp 2.9 i installed the creative fix an that worked the trouble is ive now up graded to winamp 5
an its back ^^
ive tryed removing the old and reinstalling all fresh but still it persists ive also tryed putting the creatvie fix back on but this didnt work either .
this happens with cd or streamed music form net

please help

What Creative fix?

Sticky: Troubleshooters...Read This First

No sound, skippy/choppy/crackly playback, 2-speakers only, high VM usage, etc.

Did you use the Winamp3 component or the Winamp 2/5 plug-in? Winamp3 components are not compatible with Winamp 5. WA5 is the continuation/upgrade of Winamp 2.

The Winamp 2/5 SB Upsampling plug-in can be found here...

Try DJ Egg's suggestions first, maybe you can eliminate the need for the plug-in.

My apologies if you were talking about the WA5 plug-in.
