Shoutcast Exploits

There have been a couple of exploits released in the last few weeks to allow attackers to overload shoutcast and gain control of the entire server.. are these going to be patched any time soon? My server has changed to Icecast temporarily as a precaution.. but much prefer the features of shoutcast.. so can anyone fill us in on a timetable for these exploits to be patched?
