Having some problems

Hi,
I just discovered WinAmp, and I would really enjoy it if it wasn't for two issues:

1) Almost every radio station I pick, the sound is choppy -- not so bad that it's unlistenable, but every second or so there is a tiny pause. Even the high bandwidth stations do this..... I am on a T3, so I figure it's not on my end!

2) Every minute or so there is a high pitched chirp. Hard to explain this sound, but it's a little annoying. Again, it's about once per song, but it's definitely something I can do without.

Why am I having these issues? I have version 2.80 of WinAmp. Any ideas???

Maybe because you're using an old buggy non-supported version?

To satisfy my curiosity, could you please answer the following question...
Where did you “just discovered” Winamp? You have a rather old version.

BTW The latest version is 5.02, go to the Winamp homepage for download links and more info. The Winamp 5 Free Full version has all the same features as 2.x plus a lot more.
