problem in 5.2

i had no problems with 5.0, but ever since i got 5.2, after a song or 2, it'll stop playing the song and then windows says winamp needs to close.
this is the error signature it gives me:
AppName: winamp.exe AppVer: 5.0.0.2 ModName: unknown
ModVer: 0.0.0.0 Offset: 00bccce5

my system is a p4 2.4c winxp pro sp1, i have a sb live! but i haven't had problems with it. also, i'm not running any plug-ins, and i'm using modern skin.

also, winamp doesn't freeze up when this happens. i can still press buttons and scroll the playlist, but it won't start playing anymore songs and i can't stop it from windows closing it.
