Cannot see your station/computer

XP machine w/ static IP behind linksys router firmware ver 1.44.2. Shoutcast server is unable to open the stream to my pc. I do have port 8000-8001 forwarded to the proper IP, I also ran a port scan on www.pcflank.com on ports 8000-8001 , they show "Closed (non-stealthed) - means that this port is closed, but your computer is visible to others on the Internet". I do know the stream works on the local LAN, the only thing I can think is the firmware but the linksys ftp links for firmware updates are either down or broken at the moment. I am just looking for for input here , am I missing something
