hey there.

I was browsing around in the std.mi file looking for something (god only knows what) and i came across a section of code:

getPlayItemMetaDataString()



 Get metadata for the track currently playing. The metadata field names that

 are available are the following:



 **ADD LIST**



 @ret                 The requested metadata.

 @param  metadataname    The name of the metadata field you want to read.

Can someone tell me what this does and what the metadata fields are?

metadata fields are the info in the id3 tag, like artist, album, year & genre.

I figured as much.

How do I get that data? Im assuming something like getPlayItemMetaDataString(artist) would return the artist right? Im not at my home pc at the moment... so I cant exactly check.

I just want to make sure of the parameters before I get stuck later... they should be: artist, title, album, genre, year and comment right?
