How can I make a dog be quiet

My familie's dog won't be quiet. Is there any way to make the dog be quiet? Without being with the dog 24/7 or something like that.

First of all, if you get the idea, or hear it from someone or something, do *NOT* force the dog's mouth shut while you're gone (by whatever means), that will fuck with their breathing.

My suggestion is to teach the dog not to bark as much while you're there. If someone walks by, and they bark, discourage them, with whatever verbal command I'm sure you've established to mean "bad", or "no".

You take it out back, and just shoot it in the back of the head...It won't even feel a thing, no pain, not even a quiver...

But that's what I do with old, useless dogs that need to be put out of their misery...They don't make much noise at that age, so I don't have to worry about that problem...

My hoe must've been thinking about you today, Widdy. She busted a hydraulic line when I was installing a concrete drain pipe this morning. Luckily though, the pipe was down near the ground when the line broke, so it just fell a few inches to the ground... someone could have really gotten hurt if we weren't all careful. (Let this be a lesson to everyone that safety really is important.

)

Anyways, we got the line replaced and she's back hard at work again.

Just thought you'd like to know that, Widdy.

Btw, you do know I was just kidding about the paws, right?
