do remote listeners actually need portbase AND portbase+1 outbound access to successfully connect and receive from the stream server?
In my case, most of my listeners would be located at firewalled/proxied corporate networks with very limited outbound access (80, 443 through proxy), 21, 25,110 etc. If i configure my shoutcast server to bind to portbase 80, would the remote clients be able to connect, provided that they don't have outbound access through port 81? thanks. |

portBase is used for the web interface (with request user-agent Mozilla) and listeners (with request user-agent not Mozilla).
portBase+1 is used for the source connection. Listeners only use portBase. |
