Advice for Internet Explorer users
Sorry if this has already been posted, but popups attack me when I look at porn on Winamp Internet TV.
So. If you dont' want to stop using Internet Explorer. http://www.mozilla.org Then downlaod and install the google toolbar, available at. http://www.google.com That only solves half the problem with Internet TV. So how about this. part One. Goto Start -> Control Panels -> Internet Options Click the security settings tab and on Internet set it all the way to high. Now, this makes it so that no 3rd party activex controls can be run etc. It's very limiting. So what do you do? Click on Trusted sites. It should be set to low. Theres a button on that page that says, Add Sites. In the add sites dialog uncheck the https:// only option on the bottom. Now just add any sites you frequent and trust. Part Two. Click Start -> Run and type in gpedit.msc, A window will pop up. In "Computer Configuration" click administrative templates -> Windows Components -> Internet Explorer. Double click on Security Zones: Do not allow userse to change policies (for those of you with multiple users, and just in case.) Check enable, then ok. Then do the same with Disable automatic Explorer Installs. So now NOTHING but sites you specify can mess with Internet Explorer. gg. Let the free pr0n flow. EOF |

Heres just a one up on the issue, if you don't want to see anything at all when you click on a stream.
First. Create a style sheet named ie.css or whatever you want to name it. "Right click on the desktop make a new text file rename it to *.css" * being the file name you want. Open the file. type in * { display: none } and save the file Click Start -> Control Panels -> Internet Options on the first page hit accessability options. On the bottom of the page click the "Format Documents Using My StyleSheet" checkbox. THen jsut browse for the stylesheet you want to use and viola. Now porn ads won't show up in the minibrowser window thing. Note this effects normal internet explorer usage also, if you need to view sites just reverse the process. |

You're doing it the hard way, just open Winamp's preferences(ctrl+p) select Media Library -> Library Options tab -> Do not allow Media to automatically switch to "Now Playing"
Now the minibrowser won't even open the webpage associated with the feed |
