media library." Play song" too long time to start. playing

If you have a lot of files and you have not make a scearch.
e.g shows every mp3 file you have.

if you fine a song in Media library and choose Play song.

it will take Extreamly long time for it to start.

but it is rather fast if i have made a seach and got for ex 100 files in that same window.

In winamp playlist when every song listed, it does not take time at all to make a file start playing..

can this be fixed

i have an 500mhz computer with 458 mb sdram
( eg. 450, but my computer tells me 458 )

Forgot to tell you Winamp freezes windows until the file choosen starts playing.

if another file is playing before you choose the "new file" it will continue playing the old track until it "finds" the new track..

But you cant open other windows or use menus in winamp or other programmes

i've tried to reinstall winamp but this does not help.
