intro to all songs skip
hey guys..ive been broadcasting for about a week..everything seems to work great except im finding when i connect from work (and from any of my friends house)the very begining of each song skips..just a little bit as the song starts..it pplays the first 5-6 seconds fine then skips about 5-10 seconds ahead..it does itevery song BUT when i lsten live at my house it sounds fine..you dont hear the skip...any ideas? ..thanks Neme

Yes, I am experiencing a lot of buffering on my end also.
Please check www.dslreports.com/stest take the test, and make sure you have enough upload bandwidth to support several listeners at 128k. yeah, i'm back. |

naw my line roars..4 mbps ...it never buffers for me at all..i see other users login for 20+ hours with no buffer underruns...its the just at the very start of each song..it doesnt stop playing at all..it jumps ahead a few seconds with no pause..and only does at the start of every song..yet listening here on the host box it sounds fine..

no mate..read my post closely..we just have a bad route between you and i ...its always at the start of a song..every song..even from the LAN! so its not a bandwidth issue..its a setting somewhere..

15% average ...its p4 2 gig with 512 megs ddr..you would think that would be fine huh? i listen closely to the stream here at work, it skips EXACTLY seven seconds into each song..it skips ahead about another 7 seconds ahead into the song with no gap or pause in sound at all...it then plays the rest of the song with no errors till seven seconds into the next song..Neme

im not sure..ill be home from work in a couple hours and will most certainly look and see..ive been thinking..i have the new winamp's crossfader running..i wonder if its whats causing it? when im home in a couple hours i will test that and also watch the processer and see if it is working hard when that happens..thanks for your help..ill report back my results in a couple hours..Neme
