Auto Playlist Generation

Heya all!

Noob to the board, hope you don't mind this long winded post.

I would like to ask the community what they think of the idea of haveing a software program that has the ability to create playlists for them. This program can be configured to obey rules when laying out the playlist. You can ensure artist and title seperation, tempo seperations, things of that nature.

Let me know if there is any interest in this.

Here is a sample playlist I created.

The format is classic rock with an 80's backup. I need to do some more tweaking of the rulesets but I'm getting it there.

I think he means like an Itune/Mediamonkey style smart playlist.

::edit:: Forgot to say it wouldn't be too bad to have. Assuming it could be integrated into the ML.

but if its just a smartlist.. then thats a view.. views are the exact same thing as smartlists (except they have a few more options than smartlists)

Basicly. But the good thing about a smartlist is you can limit it to X songs. Good for making random CD's and filling up an MP3 player with random songs
