How can I make it where when I mute winamp, it won't mute the rest of my computer?

I'm wanting to test out my shoutcast stream but I can't because the winamp player and the other audio player are playing at the same time. When I mute winamp, it mutes the rest of the computer.

Anyone have a fix?

do you have a crossfader plugin in the winamp dsp?

if so this could be the problem - had the same problems with the crossfade plugin - after changing from the crossfader back to directsound output - the problem was gone
