Is DV firewire live capture resolution dependant on hardware?

I can't seem too capture over 320x240 using a firewire cam.. Configuring it is nothing like using a capture card, so I was wondering if anyone knew where in NSVcap you could set it.

If you do have any control, it would be in the bottom of the Options menu as Video Filter, Video Pin, or something to that effect. You should be able to do 720x480 with a firewire cam
