Trying to relay stream to website

Okay, I am working on a website for the soon to be defunct band Phish, and until my site is finished, and probably still after I would like to stream audio from my computer to a shoutcast server. The only problem is I do not have telnet or ssh access and my provider won't help. Do I have any FREE options, or would anyone be willing to help me out with this? It wouldn't be a 24/7 stream, but at select times I would take requests of versions of songs from my catalog (over 5,000 phish songs) and start a streaming broadcast for a few hours. If you can help, email or im me.

Thanks,

Matt

Matt,

5,000 Phish songs??? Wow!! I didn't even know they had that many!

Anyway, I know of no free hosters anymore. A few years ago, there were a few. And if there are any left out there, perhaps someone could provide that info.

A word of advice though: If you plan on paying for any hosting service, it might not be very logical to have an ALL-PHISH station. You would likely only get a few listeners total. That's not a knock on the band Phish at all. It's just that someone who's willing to listen to an all Phish station is probably a hardcore fan, and probably has all their songs anyway.

Just a helpful bit of advice.

dont kid yourself...

i have an ALL GRATEFUL DEAD station

and i'd say i get more than 'a few' listeners... http://www.shoutcast.com/directory/?s=music%20never

msimpson: no 3rd party servers are free. http://www.radiotoolbox.com/hosts

also: while I am on top of the competition, if you were to start an ALL-PHISH station, you'd be hard pressed to compete with PHISHCAST http://xpager.ndis.umn.edu/phish.html who has been doing it for over 2 years now.

The idea isn't a station, I would just like to occasionally take requests. This is by no means a 24/7 sort of deal. I'm just frustrated that I can host mp3's on my site, and stream them through http:// but when you're taking requests and have to upload those songs, it's just a massive pain.

ClssicRox- Phish will have played 1181 shows when it's all said and done, and thus there are more than a few versions of each song out there as you can imagine. I probably have about 20% of their total shows, so they have probably played a total of somewhere between 25,000-30,000 songs total.
