Hi lostonline- of course it is a kind of advertising too, but my initial idea was really to improve our ideas etc.
I checked the new WMP plugin from OD2 today- its called sonicselector and sometimes i really think all they want to do is get the user into buying their top acts.
You hardly ever get information on new bands/artists- let alone be able to search for specific music etc.
And that really got to me today- hence this survey because i want to know if people feel like we do, okay?

And I promise one thing- I if many people take part- i will see that this will be read by the right people too!

I didn't advertise- It's a survey for us to understand the needs of digital music listeners- what's the problem?

One should at least know why and where it comes from.

@ M²k did you actually see the survey?

Mind you all we have done is developed a winamp plugin
Anyone is allowed to announce it here.

Have a look at it and tell me what to take out- because I really am interested in peoples opinions

Can you actually tell me what I have done wrong?

A plugin like this would have to be bought, or at least the service would be paid for.

Why would I pay for Moodmixer when Winamp already handles most of this? ... for FREE

Suburbia: The place where they clear down trees and then name roads after them

Anyway I took out the last description of what we do out of the survey- is it okay then?

Actually I would rather have a discussion with people here if they are only interested in Top ten artists or would rather have the "BIG" ones give us the oprotunity to somehow even find unknown artists on downloadpages. ETC etc-

tell me if it's allright with you now

cheers
Kerstin

Uh none of this is listed in the survey, why didn't you just ask this in the first place?

Moodmixer

I'm not going to start advertising here now-

simply this

Winamp cannot automatically select songs for playlists from different kombined criteria and ratings

Winamp cannot automatically play your favourite songs more often than second best etc

Winamp cannot schedule playlists or produce a non-stop running playlist other than by repeating or shuffle mode

Winamp doesn't obey to rules

winamp cannot automatically produce playlists for a given amount of time

It's not for everyone- it's only for those who have large libraries and need good playlists fast, always new, never repeating and always matching their desires and mood.

But my concern now is really what do people want from downloadpages and their matching software- I'm not even into that business - but some things we actually use in our software ( as in profiling a song according to tempo, beat, mood etc) might help downloadpages and the user in the end.
I have just written an article on that but it's still in german- I'll translate it tomorrow and post it here.

Promised

What do you mean by "Winamp doesn't obey rules"

Moodmixer can apply a set of optional rules for the playlists which can restrict the selection of songs for the playlists

Anyway - for all others- if you are interested in digital music downloads etc - please take part in our survey

I like choosing my music from my collection rather than have a peice of software try to do it for me!
