I would like my friends to be able to connect. I got it working between computers on my home network but when someone from outside the network attempted, it didnt work. I think its because I was using the 198.------ ip which is only for internal computer I think.

First, find out your IP at www.whatismyip.com
Then, take that, and put in in the place of 'yourip' in the following address.

http://yourIP:8000/listen.pls

yeah, i'm back.

Post your DNAS log so we can see what error you are getting. If you have a router the first thing to do is forward ports 8000 & 8001 to the LAN IP address of your shoutcast server. If you have a firewall, open ports 8000 & 8001 to TCP traffic.

I have four computers on my LAN they can all tune into my local stream or my hosted stream. You need to determine the LAN IP address of your shoutcast server. Do not change the srcIP or destIP from ANY in your sc_serv.ini file.
