whats good other than deadaim???
i'm tired of deadaim because i have to hax0r8 the ocm file and i was just wondering, besides deadaim and aim+ is there any third party add-ons that let you log conversations, clone, and keep tabbed windows?

I never had to hack the ocm file. Simply replaced it with the one it gave me. By "the one it gave me", i mean the one that was included in the deadaim zip.

Middleman is good, although it is still in beta, doesn't work with AIM 5.5 final releases fully, and doesn't have tabbed windows yet. (They're supposed to be added in the next beta release.) It's not a bad kind of beta, though. I don't think it has ever caused AIM to crash for me since I installed. It just isn't finished yet. It's best feature is the scripting options, including one for automatically updating the filename of the song currently playing in Winamp 2.x/5 in either your profile or away message.

you have to <cough>purchase</cough> deadaim and trillianpro. But there is also free trillian(no plugins) and Aimutations--which is really good cause its free.
Id go with trillian, however the only thing i dont like about trillian is that you dont get to see the other persons personal font(i think?) and doing awaymsgs (like wiht hyperlinks) are a bother. Aimutation does pretty much everything deadaim does(does aimutation log convos?) But aimutation also skins aim, which deadaim doesnt do. |

gee guyz thx for the witty responses
 i tried aimutation before but once its installed all i see is a skinned window with no buddylist, cant see anyone's sn, cant talk to anyone, cant receive msgs, yet i'm online. what i want most is cloning and conversation logging. GAIM has no direct connect feature  i've surfed around and found nothing
