Switchability between Relay and Live
I use ShoutCast for Linux. I have noticed that when relay is enabled that no DJs can connect to broadcast. Read the documents if you did not know, it is a good read.
I was curious if someone was able to set ShoutCast for Linux so a person could connect to broadcast once kicking the relaying steam. Then when the DJ disconnects the relay stream continues. Right now if you kick the relay it will reconnect in roughly fifteen seconds. I am basically asking that once kicked the relay notices a live DJ is connected and it will continue to try to reconnect every fifteen seconds waiting for the live DJ to disconnect to resume broadcast. Now, if this feat has not been accomplished, is there software for ShoutCast and Linux which would do this same thing and does not require MySQL. Thank you! |

Icecast. Primary mount "live", fallback mount "AutoDJ" or "Relay another stream"
If you like shoutcast due to the benefits of YP listings etc, you can relay the Icecast server. Works well. |
