running 3 shoutcasts

2.4 ghz
1024
80gb
1200gb transfer

i am looking to run 3 shoutcast servers.
1 at 128 bitrate
1 at 96
1 at 24
and i want to add a auto dj.

if i have the same amount of listener slots on each cast... what is the max i will be able ot have without problems?

1200gb transfer is the probably number of bytes you can upload/download. While streaming sends a lot of bytes over a months time, that is not the same as available bandwidth, which is what you need to determine the number of listeners you can support.

First remember that you're going to lose some of the 1200 right off the top because of overhead - or the data that comes back in off the internet. This can be as much as 30 - 50 gb a month.

As far as how much you can do my best estimate would be 40 128K 40 96K and 50 24k but that's just a rough estiamte. I run 100 56k slots and 50 24k slots and make it under 1200 gb a month but just barely. The best thing to do is set it at a conservative number and increase it as the month goes along. If you have Server Matrix you also have access to the control panel which gives you a run down of bandwidth usage and estimates monthly usage so you can properly gauge your total usage.
