Awstats and shoutcast

I tried several setting to get Awstats running with the logfile of shoutcast.

Does anyone have done this.



I read the other threads but I do not want to install an other analyser.

maybe it is possible for the programmers to make a standard logfile that can be read by awstats

I haven't heard of anyone setting up Awstats with SHOUTcast, but that's a fantastic idea.

yeah the coders need to fix this flaw

the problem is in the way shoutcast dumps it's log without stating what method is used

I use Awstats for Windows Media player logs in w3c format. I recall seeing options for Shoutcast in the Awstats setup... Has anyone tried using Shoutcast's w3c logging facility with awstats?

Yep, it doesn't work with the default log format setting for W3C I guess you can make it work defining your custom log format in Awstats to match with the W3C log generated by SC

Yeah I've tried, but awstats refuses to use shoutcast's so-called "w3c logs"

Shoutcast's logs allegedly have cs-uri-stem, but the cs-uri-stem string is missing method (cs-method) so awstats refuses to read the logs.

I'm not 100% sure if it is awstats OR shoutcast to blame for this, but after doing some research it seems nullsoft it to blame. I have seen NO OTHER examples of w3c logs that dont have cs-method in the cs-uri-stem.
I have sent an email to nullsoft requesting them to fix this in the next update of the shoutcast server.

No, Awstats faq's and setup do not mention shoutcast.
And yeah, WMP outputs their w3c log WITH cs-method.

I've also sent an email to awstats asking for him to implement a new feature so you can make awstats assume that the method is GET.

Now let see who is the quickest to update their software... awstats or nullsoft.
I'll bet for awstats, as nullsoft is famous for never listening to the community when problems arise.
(i.e. the damn long-awaited minimize of the fregging shoutcast source dsp window !!!)
