howdy all. its been awhile but i need help again

ok i been back to the site looking for plugins but i cant find ones that say they will do what i want and need.

i am looking for a plug in that will take the m3u and the pls lists from winamp and convert them in to an html page.

i need to do that for when i burn cdroms now i have to type each name in notepad so i can make the cdrom lable. it would be nice to have it just make the html file so i can copy and past the title artist and length in to the lable making program.

also the other plug in i been trying to find is one that will read the cdtext if there is any on the cdroms, now all i get is cda track 1... and that is not good when you dont remember the names of the artist or songs.

thanks for any help,

i did find a site through a google search that had m3uhtml command line program on it that was to work but i could not figure that out and it had no instructions.

i have not been able to find the cdtext reading plug in for winamp at all.

you can make html playlists in winamp without any extra plugins. go to misc then misc. opts then select generate html playlist. or press ctrl+alt+G.

There is no sig.

No idea why you can't find the HTML thingy, make sure the playlist editor is in focus if you use (Ctrl+Alt+G).

No matter, there is always another way

As a general rule, if you have a problem with ripping or burning audio CDs then Feurio is your answer.
Use it to get the track info from freedb or click the 'CD-Text' button to get that instead. If for some reason you HAVE to get the info from Gracenote then work arounds are available.
After that go to 'CD-Rom' > 'Copy to Clipbord' and select the formatting you want. I use Artist<CRLF>Title<CRLF>Tracklist separated by TABS.
Paste into Notepad or whatever.

cdtext is added to the cdroms either by you when you burn them or the manufactures when they make them. it allows the names of the songs the singers and the name of the album and the length and some other file info to show up on the playlist of the cdrom instead of cda.track 001

only your cdrom burner must support it and you have to have a buring program that will put it on. jet audio will put it on.

it makes it a lot easier to have the track titles on the cdrom then having to make them on the round lables which wear off when played a lot.

no you gave good directions i was just using the classic skin on the winamp 5 beta version i have and the place you said does not show up unless your using a modern skin on it.

i like classic skins i guess i will have to download the newest version and just trade back and forth on the skins. now that i found it and i know it is there. thanks.

Not sure what version 5 beta is, upgrade to 5.03 and update patch (see stickies in Tech Support forum).

IIRC the HTML generator has been available since before Modern skins were invented.

Attatchment shows 'where to ...' with the default Classic skin.
