Pictures of the day [July 11]

Hey everybody,

Runners on the floor try to avoid fighting bulls during the fourth day of the running of the bulls at the San Fermin festival in Pamplona July 10, 2004. A pack of six fighting bulls and steers runs through the center of the town to the bullring every morning during the week long festival.

Austria is honoring the deceased President of the state Thomas Klestil. In front of the central graveyard in Vienna, where the funeral will take place, helpers put the flowers in order that were sent from presidents from all over the world. 400 official guests of the state came for the funeral. Klestil died at the age of 71.

I am guessing you didn't take the pic of the bull or else you woulda gotten gored. Nice pics BTW.

The first picture shows the action very well and the second one gives a good idea of the amount of flowers.

I am guessing they didn't like the president too much. It looks kinda festive with all those colors.

Nah, if you look back on my Pictures of the day I've done through the past year or so, I hardly ever take the pictures myself but search through the internet for quite a while to find images that somehow relate to the news that (or the past) day and that also look valuable in an artistic way (or are just pretty or cool

)

Anytime I take the pictures of the day myself (such as the May 1st feature) I will announce it since it's something special and I want to brag about it, alright?
