Damn storms

It rained hard yesterday...There was a fucking river in the front of my house and I couldn't get online...

We went out to eat last night, and we were gonna go to this buffet resturaunt called Golden Corral...Apon going there, one street was inaccessable because it was flooded over in water and was too deep to forge for someone in a car (Although I did see someone try to go through it, and if that guy passing through in that giant Ford F-250 FX4 didn't forge it, then I don't know)...We go around, and go a different way, but there was an intersection that was blocked off by police because the electrical company was fixing the power lines...Apparently, power was out, because none of the traffic lights were working, and a whole block of stores and resturaunts were closed because of no power...Traffic sucked because of it, and Golden Corral was closed, so we went to Ryan's instead...

And if I thought the river in my front yard was bad, only because my front lawn is at a slightly steep angle degree...Along the way, anyone with a level front lawn had fucking lakes instead...

Damn, that sucks... Golden Corral is really good. But Ryan's is pretty good, too.

I'm lucky when it comes to rain as far as our house is concerned, though. We're in a high area, so we don't have standing water any larger than a puddle. But I'm also on satellite, so I get disconnected when it rains anyways.

I'm suprised with how our power stands up...The past few storms have been strong enough to knock a few trees and limbs down, and my house is right near a power grid that, a few years ago, seemed to get knocked out everytime a storm like this came through...

And I'm kinda glad we got to go to Ryan's...As good as Golden Corral is, that night I got to have something our GC never seems to serve; Fish...

I'm not much of a seafood fan. But whatever floats your boat.
