MP3's to WMA

I wanted to if there is a way to convert MP3 files to WMA files cause I'm buying an MP3 player and I can put more songs on it if they are in WMA format

WMA's make me cry

Don't do it son, try some other formats, the smart kids always bang on about Ogg vorbis for starters

Oh, and transcoding one lossy format (mp3) to another lossy format (MWA for example) is also bad mojo.

Don't do it, you'll lose quality in the transcoding. A WMA file converted from an mp3 won't sound as good as a WMA file encoded from the original. Either re-encode from originals or stick with the mp3s.

Kids, you tried your best and you failed miserably. The lesson is, never try.

Lookie here for wma's quality.

At very low bitrates it is slightly better than mp3, but MS's "same quality at half size" is a big fat

Like they said don't do it, you'll be giving up quality for space.

But if you must Advanced WMA Workshop is a decent program in case your in a bind.

I converted my entire collection to WMA. It was a horrible idea. I had to re-rip everything all over again, as I deleted the program deleted the original files as it went.
