Unable to Connect

Not entirely sure what's going on with my inability to connect. I am running thru a D-Link DI-614+ router, Win2KPro OS, Motorola Surfboard 4100 cable modem and Cox Cable.

I have played with the router settings even to the point of setting up a DMZ on my main computer. That had no effect. I have also contacted D-Link who had me change the MTU setting to 1428. Still no effect. The only other option I have is to set it up thru Applications. However I do not know the trigger port range or the public port range for your add-on software.

If anyone has any clues as to what I need to do...please help.

Thank you.

The firewall on the DI-614+ cannot be turned off. That's the reason I turned on the DMZ feature. As I said before that did not work. And I can't forward any ports because I don't know what they are for Shoutcast. If someone knows what the ports are for shoutcast other than 8000, it would be helpful.

There are only two ports to be concerned with, assuming you have not changed the default, portbase=8000 and portbase+1=8001

Actually you can use any port that is not being used by another process, provided you change the config file.

I'm about to go nuts trying to figure this mess out. Opened the ports on the firewall....it says...connecting then not connected. Not sure why now. :/
