If xzxzzx were to go somewhere, where should he go?

Ok, so the traditional thing to say is "well, I want to go to x, where do you want to go?" (in a happy bunny voice!)

I've read enough of that. I want to know where *I* should go. In other words, what's great about your area? Why would someone like me want to go there?

(This does mean that you should only tell me about your area, not "places you've been". Locals tell about places far more effectively.)

Note that I live near LA, so if you're gonna tell me to "go to LA", say what part. It's like a small country here, you're gonna have to be specific.

Hey, Fresno's only about 200 miles away. I don't think I've been there, either.

I have a message bottle floating somewhere in the Pacific Ocean from my Japanese friend from Kanagawa for me...If you have the spare time, could you find it for me?

With the way thie jet stream is, it should carry the tides well towards a good south-east-east direction towards the coastline of middle California...

Victoria BC. Laid back town with a lot of action going on. There's some really hot guys/girls around here, and there's lots of stuff to do. It's not a fucking huge metropolis, but it's a big enough city that we have multiple malls and cineplexes, that sort of shit.

We have some very classic little restaurants, varying from the very fancy and modern to the nice old style fish and chips place.

Oh, and this is the best place in the fucking world to get salmon, and fish as a general rule. I recommend the smoked salmon. Sockeye's awesome, but chum salmon is the best for the smoked variety.
(No you don't roll it up and smoke it dipwads, it's cooked with smoke.)

Anyways, the evenings on the inner harbour are fucking awesome. Dallas road beach is better I think because it's longer and you get a great panoramic view of the mountains. You can see allllmost to Seattle on really clear days.

The people are pretty friendly as a general rule as long as you aren't an asshole to them.
Weather's nice and warm in the summer -- and if it rains, wait five minutes, it'll be sunny again.
Doesn't snow here in the winter.

The city in itself ranges from the quiet Victorian style (In the Oak Bay district) To the comfy modern (James Bay) and to the high-end busy. (Downtown and Johnson/Quadra.)

Not to mention the scenery is absolutely beautiful.

Shit I should write brochures or something. I wanna go for a walk now and enjoy my city.
*Hugs my home town.*

If you do not know what townies are, go to to "A user's guide to Britain's new ruling class", http://www.chavscum.co.uk . Complete with "How to spot one", "Chav of the month" and "Name your chav baby". A good place for a chav hunt is Leicester Square in London, man I fucking hate that place, crawling with 'em on Fri and Sat nights.

Staying on topic... y'all should come to LIMA, PERU, the 4th most polluted city in south america. However, it's cheap, the people are friendly (unless you behave like a rich, dumb tourist) and there are some beautiful beaches for over 100 km south, and the foothills of the Andes are part of the city. If you like colonial architecture, it's a good place to come, and if you like spicy food, seafood and food with lots of beans, chicken and rice, it's great. The jungle is about an hour's flight away. I did my IGCSE biology field trip in the most biodiverse place on Earth. There are loads off places off the beaten track that most tourist brochures don't mention, such as the ancient fortress of Kuelap. I think it's better than Machu Picchu, and the 2-day drive there is amazing.

I remember Vancouver was voted the 2nd most desirable place to live in in the world (after Nashville, TN. Don't know why). I wanna go there. Badly.

Why are people listing malls as attractions? Malls are all the same and not exactly a reason to go somewhere new.
